Hey guys! So this week I did not to a vlog and I apologize. So this is my free blog and I will be talking about the song "Try Everything" by Shakira. This is an amazing song and it totally matches with this week's blog topic which was your musical inspiration. As you may have guessed this song was in a movie, Zootopia and it looks like a really amazing movie that I really want to see. All characters in Zootopia are animals and the two main ones are, a bunny and a fox. (BUNNIES!!!!!) So, Shakira is actually the voice of one of the characters in Zootopia, she plays Gazelle this famous singer. In the music video for "Try Everything" they switch from Shakira recording in her studio to her character in Zootopia singing and the main bunny in the video failing at first then succeeding. What I really liked in the video was the animation. The animation is super amazing because it actually looks like Gazelle is signing the song. That is really hard to do. I also like the transitions because in the beginning they use like an animated phone that transitions to Shakira singing. Sorry if that doesn't make sense, you will understand when you watch it below. If you watch carefully you will see some really funny parts like when Gazelle is singing you can see in the back this officer is like freaking out cause he is a big fan. Also, when those 2 sloths were dancing like really slow! My favorite part of the video is when the bunny is succeeding because I was thinking "Dang bunny, you just made like a hammer and nailed it!" All the other animals behind her are like "How in the world did this tiny bunny get in front of me." Bam!! Just keep trying and you will eventually succeed. Any ways I hope you liked this blog and I will post the video below so you can see it! Bye!
Hey everyone! Sorry I didn't do a vlog this week, I am doing this no electronics challenge for the week, for Kallen and Carter's 4th quarter project with Napua and Kolten. So if you text me or something like that I will not get it. Anyways, this week's blog topic is on your musical inspiration. Is it an artist a genre or more? So I will be talking about genre's because I don't have a favorite artist, I like them all. The three genres that inspire me are, like a pop, TV shows or movies, and of course Disney.
The first genre that inspires me is pop. I'm sure most of the songs that kids like are pop because they are the most frequent. Some of the pop singers that I listen to are, Sabrina Carpenter, Meghan Trainor, Daya, Katy Tiz, and Hailee Steinfeld. I also like Jordan Smith and DNCE but of course all of these singers have more then one genre. Hailee Steinfeld sang a song called "Love Yourself" and that was a very inspirational song. As you probably guessed it's message is to be who you are even if others don't like you that won't matter as long as you love yourself. The song that we our doing for our music video is also an inspirational song, it's called "Believe". Sung by Shawn Mendez and it talks about well, believing in yourself no matter what. Even songs without really a message still inspire me. For instance "Cake by the Ocean" by DNCE doesn't technically have a message but it is catchy and it makes me smile and I feel happier.
Another genre that inspires me is TV shows. I don't even know if this is a genre but I consider it as one, it sort of falls under like commercials and jingles. I like the theme songs of, Girl Meets World, Liv and Maddie, Game Shakers, Victorious, and much more. But, there are also TV shows that are about singing or musical talent. So in some episodes they sing a different song like in, Liv and Maddie, Make it Pop, Victorious, and Backstage. I also like those songs as well. I mean half of my playlist are songs that are fromTV shows. For example, I bought the Girl Meets World theme song, the Liv and Maddie theme song, a Victorious song, another Liv and Maddie song, and an Austin and Ally song. The reason these songs inspire me because usually the songs match the characters feelings and it has a message. Like in, "Take on the World" it talks about not being afraid to face life and learn to over come challenges.
The last genre that inspires me is Disney!!! I love Disney and their songs! When Frozen came out I loved all of their songs, "Let it Go", and "In Summer". I was so very obsessed with Frozen. Also, like Teen Beach Movie songs, and Let it Shine. I know this is very similar to my last genre, but this is more movies. So I was obsessed with the song " Surf Crazy" and in the second movie "Best Summer Ever" from Teen Beach Movie 2. I literally know all the lyrics to those songs. I also really like "Lemonade Mouth". The reason Disney inspires me is because almost every show has a message or meaning for it. In "Backstage" it shows the challenges of switching schools. So in one of the songs that a character Alya sings it talks about standing up for yourself.
As you can see, I really love music and it is a huge part of our lives. It allows us to express how we are feeling. I was very excited when I heard this was our blog topic. Thank you guys for reading! Bye!
Hey guys! For this week's blog I will be talking about the videos our class created for STN. I think our class did really well. Spot Feature's topic was "Life in the fast lane" and we did it on the pie baker. I think the video came out really nice, I wasn't an editor so I couldn't see the finished product till later. Kolten asked the questions for the interview and Kaden filmed. Kolten and I came up with the questions, 5 points, and voiceovers. Kaden likes to do the more technical stuff so he filmed B-roll. For the Film team, Kaycee filmed a lot, and Kotlen and Aron would help with the audio. The rest of us were like main actors sort of. Kolten and Aron went to pick out music and start editing early when audio was easy to handle. Javlynn and Kaycee were the main editors though. Thankfully we all finished on time. I will post a link to the CKTV website so you can go and watch all the videos. Look inside the Tweets by @cktvmedia and there will be all the videos. I hope you liked this blog! http://www.cktv-mediaproductions.com/
Hey guys! This week I am going back to blogging just because I have a lot of things to do because I missed a few more days of school due to being sick. Anyways, it is now fourth quarter! The year went by super fast! Since it is a new quarter, we need to make new goals. So that's what this blog will be talking about!
My first goal for this quarter is not to procrastinate! Procrastinating really sets you back, so I want to prevent myself from waiting too long to get things done. I think I am doing alright so far I don't really think I procrastinated a lot to where it affected me in a huge way. Now that I said that something is going to go terribly wrong because of procrastination. Knock on wood! Last quarter I think I achieved this goal and did not procrastinate.
Another goal I have is to have a few drafts before our final project is done. I am working with Taylor and we are making a music video for our fourth quarter project. It's really good to have your teacher look at your final product to give you feedback, which will really bump up your grade. If you are like me you always want the best grade possible even if you have to work your butt off. I think I was successful with this goal as well, last quarter because I made many corrections to my PSA and I got a good grade.
My last goal is to be on time with everything. Even if it isn't quite media related I want to turn all my regular school in, or any media work too. I want to be on time with my weekly vlogs/blogs and with the script for my fourth quarter project. I also want to be on time with our project especially!! That is very crucial! I was successful with this goal last quarter and hopefully I will succeed this quarter as well.
These are some of the goals I have for this quarter! This is also what I achieved last quarter. I will try to post a vlog next week. Thank you for reading!
