Hi! This is my second blog of the week. So for your second blog you get to choose your topic and I chose to blog about my first time doing radios. I will be sharing with you how me and Kaycee got stuck with doing radios first, what happened when I called schools, how it was recording radios, and how it went editing radios.
So first I am going to talk about how we got stuck doing radios first. So last week Tuesday we had Media period 6 and our teacher Mr.M (AKA: my dad) asked our class if anyone wanted to do radios for that week. No one really wanted to do it because the radios would be due that week. So then he asked if anyone would do it if he pushed back the date. So 2 groups responded and said they would, but he wanted it in by that week so he chose me and Kaycee. I thought he was going to choose Taylor and Nicole because the are both returning partners.
So that day Kaycee and I stayed after school to call schools to find out information to report on the radio. So first Kaycee showed me what to read off of and where to fill in the blanks. So then she called to show me what to do then it was my turn. We actually got quite a lot of announcements but not a lot for our week. Nicole and Taylor helped us by looking on school websites because they are the week after us. So then we made our scripts with all the information. The returning students are supposed to write 2 of the scripts, so I did Wednesday and Kaycee did Monday and Friday.
Recording radios were actually kind of fun. We had to do it over a few times because the microphones weren't working so we used different ones. There were a few lines I kept on screwing up. Editing radios were really funny because you get to look at all the mistakes you made. But one part wasn't very fun, the laptop wouldn't let me delete so I asked my dad for help and it didn't work for him either. Turns out I was just clicking the wrong button.
This was pretty much my first time doing radios. At the beginning I really didn't want to go first, but I am kind of glad we went first. Now we don't have to do radios for another month or so. If you want to here our radios and our week already past I am sure I will post it on my "Inside Scoop" page soon. Thanks for reading, till next week! Click here to listen to my "Inside Scoops"!
