Hola! This weeks blog is a project update! So I will be reviewing how our project is going as always. I am working with Taylor Nishimoto for the fourth quarter. We are making a music video on the song "Believe" by Shawn Mendez. It's a really amazing song and it should be up on my site by the 20th or sooner. So Taylor and I are kind of behind because we only got our script approved this week but we will hopefully bounce right back on track. We started filming this week so we aren't that far off track.
One reason I think we are behind is because we still have to call this guy to ask permission to use the stadium for one of our scenes in our video. Every time we call they don't answer and there is no voicemail. Also, when I look online for his email I don't find it. Did you know fax means printer? I did not know that and every time I would search his name I would find his phone number and a fax number. So a printer has a phone before me!!!! What?!!! So we need to find the times of Vidinha Stadium and when I just search up "Vidinha Stadium Hours" nothing pops up!!! So we need to call enough times to where they finally answer.
Another reason I think we are behind is because we only got our project approved this week and our final script was due on April 22. Thankfully we got it approved and we can film this weekend. The problem with our script was I thought it was a bit confusing. Just because we have three different situations and we would switch back and forth between situations every two shots or so. Then we rearranged it where it doesn't look as confusing. Also instead of having a seconds column we changed it to a composition column. Counting the seconds was becoming to difficult and when I added up all the seconds it turned out to be like a minute longer then it was supposed to.
The last reason I think we are behind is because of our filming today. We filmed today the scene with Mia Thompson and Erik but we had a few issues. So we had a set time and place on Friday and when I woke up in the morning some of our actors texted that they could not come. Due to driving situations because most of our actors live in Kalaheo and we filmed at Lydgate. Then we only had 2 actors. But then my wonderful mom drove us to Kalaheo and we picked up one of our actors. I asked our other actor but they did not text back. So, I learned to always have a back up plan and confirm if your actors will participate.
That's it for this weeks blog! This is why we are behind and hopefully we will get back on track because I have to finish this project, the ED Camp video, and Creative Arts video as well. Not to mention blogs, homework and looking for a news story topic for next year. I have got a lot of work to do. Thanks for reading! Bye!!!
