Hey guys! In this blog I will be talking about something that challenged me before. The original blog topic was the STN Fall Challenge. But because I don’t think I will be doing it, I will be talking about something that challenged me, which was making a script for our first quarter project. I will be writing three reasons on why I think that making a script is hard. I really liked the setup and it was sort of already made so that was one thing I really liked about making the script, but yeah if you want to hear about how creating my first script went read on.
First off, making the script was hard because so far Kaycee and I had to make five drafts. We didn’t have to totally restart our script, but we had to make a lot of drafts. Plus, we had to post five drafts to our blog. We are finally done, but now we actually have to edit the video and record the voice overs. Did I forget to say it’s due next week, well if I didn’t, OUR PROJECTS ARE DUE NEXT WEEK!
Another reason why I think making scripts are hard is because you have to see what fits and what order to put them in. You have to take key words or phrases that are important from your transcriptions and add that to the script. Sometimes you are going to have to switch places of where things go. We had to do that quite a bit.
The last reason why I thought creating the script was hard was because you had to make sure it wasn’t to long. We had some trouble with that, we had to trim down some transcriptions to a few sentences. Someone from Hiki No read our script and gave a few suggestions that were very helpful. One of those suggestions were to shorten certain people’s transcriptions.
Overall it was alright making the script, but to me it was kind of hard. The good news is when you work hard it will pay off which is so true, because pretty soon it’s Fall Break and there is a possibility our story could get on Hiki No. I love that because that was one of mine and Kaycee’s goals. Till, next time! Bye!
